Mr. Moster is the Founder of the Moster Law Firm and serves as its Managing Partner. He also chairs the Firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property practice areas located at the Claydesta Center in Midland, Texas (pictured below), in addition to our offices in Austin and Dallas. The IP practice is also known as the “Turing Technology Group” named after the Founder of Intellectual Property, Alan Turing (1912 to 1954).
The Turing Technology Group represents emerging technology companies with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and the creation of high-level systems which demonstrate advanced cognitive abilities. Our attorneys handle an array of IP issues including patent law and electrical/mechanical engineering, biotechnology patents and IP including gentech and pharma, among other matters. We are eager to represent clients who are developing biocomputers, wetware, and therapies involving life extension!
Mr. Moster and other attorneys at the Firm are also conversant in computer languages from a programming and developmental standpoint. He has represented top computer scientists in the field involved in commercial applications and endeavors related to National Security.
Mr. Moster’s experience over 36 years as an AV-rated lawyer is multifaceted. He commenced his practice as a business and litigation attorney for the U.S. Department of Commerce during the Reagan and Bush administrations focusing on industrial projects in excess of $1 Billion. He has represented Oil & Gas companies in diversified areas from production to distribution to related services, among other areas.
Mr. Moster also practices in the areas of commercial litigation, Oil and Gas Law, appellate practice, and entertainment law. He is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. (1977) and holds a law degree from Temple University School of Law of Philadelphia, PA. (1984). Additionally, he earned his master’s degree in political science from San Diego State University (1979).
Mr. Moster joined the Washington, D.C. law firm of Deckelbaum & Ogens in 1990 after leaving the U.S. Department of Commerce and became a Partner at that Firm which concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation and business law. He co-founded the Austin-based law firm of Moster Wynne in 1996 before opening The Moster Law Firm which has offices in Midland-Odessa, Lubbock, Amarillo, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Austin, Dallas, and Houston. He has been conferred the “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest level of achievement granted to attorneys nationwide for legal excellence and the highest ethical standards of practice (5 of 5 possible scores).
Mr. Moster also served as a playwright, lyricist, composer, and author for almost 40 years. His award-winning plays and original musical compositions have been produced for the New York stage (Circle-in-the Square Theatre and New York Theatre Ensemble) and venues across the country including National Public Radio and Canadian Production Companies. His radio plays have focused on the lives of brilliant but lesser-known scientists including Charles Babbage, the inventor of the first programmable computer in 1837, See, A Different Engine, El Camino Real Productions; Nikola Tesla, the inventor of alternating current and a rumored Time Machine, Nikola Tesla vs. The United States, and poignant historical events such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States; Taken, How Will They be Remembered?
